Every Friday, Oakland residents show ID with an Oakland address for $5 child and $10 adult walk-up tickets. Up to six people per eligible adult ID. General admission days only; special ticketed events excluded.

Museums for All offers $1 admission per person for up to four EBT cardholders/guests. Bring the EBT card. Special events use their separate admission arrangements. Check current opening hours before travel.

Visitors who self-identify as having a disability receive $15 general admission without verification. Supporting drivers and care assistants receive free admission.

Reserve for 10–60 people at least two weeks ahead for 20% off gallery and special exhibition admission. A $15 reservation fee applies. Cancel at least two weeks ahead for a full fee refund; later changes are not guaranteed. Walk-up groups face an additional $25 fee and no additional discounts.

Free Sunday admission. Reservations are encouraged; walk-ins welcome as capacity allows. Reserved visits last 60 minutes, so arrive at the ticketed time. Free parking on general admission days; festival parking may cost extra. The sculpture garden is included only when open.

Choose your admission contribution on the third Sunday of each month. Advance registration recommended.

Show a SNAP EBT card and photo ID for free general admission for up to four people. Reservations are optional; use MUSEUMSFORALL when reserving online.

Current California state employees show a current employee ID badge for free admission, noon–3 pm on the fourth Friday monthly. Limited to the first 100 employees; walk-in only, no advance-ticket purchases. Remaining listed 2026 dates: October 23 and November 27.

Present your SNAP EBT card at admission and pay $2 per person, for the cardholder and up to three other people.

US military veterans and active-duty military receive free admission with ID. No reservation needed.

Eligible benefits cardholders age 18+ buy up to four $5 general admissions in person on Wednesday, for use that Wednesday. Cardholder must attend with the named EBT card or digital WIC app and matching state photo ID; Sun Bucks is excluded. First 150 Welcome Wednesday ticket buyers on the first Wednesday monthly also receive a giraffe feeding. Roeding Park parking is $5 per car, plus $0.40 for kiosk card payment; special-date parking rates may differ.

Bring an EBT or Medi-Cal card and proof of San Francisco residence to the admissions desk on visit day. Free general admission for up to four family members, subject to same-day walk-up availability. Special exhibitions require a separate surcharge.

Outside the seasonal Blue Star period, show an active US military ID or veteran ID for free general admission plus one guest. Same-day walk-up tickets at the ticket desk only, subject to availability.

San Francisco residents with valid Medi-Cal, CalFresh, SNAP or EBT cards show the benefits card and proof of SF residency on visit day. Up to four adult tickets total, including general admission and special exhibitions.

Conference and convention attendees at Moscone Center show their badge at the museum ticket desk for a $4 admission discount.

Qualifying California public school PreK–12 teachers apply using the official teacher form and bring teacher ID. Receive one nontransferable general admission voucher; field-trip group admissions are excluded.

Show an EBT/SNAP/CalFresh, Medi-Cal, WIC card or Lifeline Pass and matching photo ID at the ticket desk for up to four $5 tickets. Buy onsite only. After Dark is ages 18+. P-EBT and EBT Sun Bucks do not qualify.

On the first full weekend monthly, present an active Bank of America, Merrill or Bank of America Private Bank debit/credit card, physical or digital, plus valid photo ID. Cardholder gets one free general admission; guests buy separately.

Visit after 6 pm on the first Friday of the month for free admission.
