Wednesdays are free for everyone; free Wednesday tickets are available only at ticket counters. New York City residents with ID may pay what they can. Admission includes all exhibitions. Both offers exclude groups of ten or more; such groups require advance reservations and additional group pricing. Check current hours and holiday closures.

New York State residents with accepted ID may pay what they wish for general admission. Ticketed exhibitions are not included and cannot be added to this ticket; choose resident pricing instead for those. Online: select New York State Residents, enter an eligible ZIP code, select Pay What You Wish, choose date/ticket quantity and enter payment. Open daily 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

New York State residents and NY, NJ or CT students may pay what they wish, minimum $0.01 per ticket. NY residents may book online with a NY billing address. NJ/CT students must purchase in person with valid student ID. Residency verification required. General adult price otherwise $30. Holiday closures apply.

Free museum admission for everyone Fridays 5–10 p.m. and the second Sunday monthly; visitors 25 and under enter free every day. Includes exhibitions. Reserve advance tickets; capacity limited.
